Leadership Triangle After Hours is an alumni group set-up for Goodmon Fellows with frequent events around the Triangle. Following “on the heels” of UNC Coach Sylvia Hatchell’s moving speech to the lunch alumni group, another fantastic opportunity is coming up soon, this time for the after hours group. On October 5th, Leadership Triangle After Hours will be hosting an evening of fun, food and networking with other alumni. For a venue, we were able to secure Old Chatham Golf Club in Northern Chatham, which is consistently rated as the number one golf club in the Triangle area.
Jodi Tata, director of development for Old Chatham, is a Goodmon Fellow herself so she was able to facilitate our use of this beautiful property. This is a benefit of having so many alumni in diverse positions and industries across the region. The After Hours event will have three special hosts: North Carolina Chamber of Commerce President Lew Ebert, former mayor and state senator Howard Lee, and Leadership Triangle board member Colonel Joe LeBoeuf. Each of them will give remarks, as will John Marino, director of operations and president of Carolinas PGA who will be serving as the master of ceremonies.
Listening to speeches from these local leaders in a scenic location would be enough but that’s not nearly all. There will be both cornhole and chipping competitions taking place with winners announced at the end. Also, you will have the opportunity to buy raffle tickets and a winner will be chosen from that, as well. Food and drinks will be provided and will include a delicious assortment that alone would make the trip worth your while.
It promises to be an amazing evening with great opportunities for networking, eating and drinking, listening to regional dignitaries and enjoying some friendly competition. We hope to see our alumni make it out to what will be another exciting evening for the Leadership Triangle community.
